Laird Introduces UltraSphere CAF 94895

(Product News, 1 Sep 2006)

Laird Technologies has introduced its UltraSphere CAF 94895, a micro-miniature, low profile, in-building wireless antenna that provides as high as 3.6 dBi gain and operates over the wideband frequency range of 800 MHz to 2.4 GHz enabling six different technologies (AMPS, GSM, PCS, DCS, UMTS and Wi-Fi) to radiate through a single antenna device. The multi-band, omni-directional wireless antenna is targeted at cellular voice and data service providers, system integrators, VARs and OEMS. The antenna is service provider and region independent. The antenna measures a 1.7 mm maximum thickness. The product also is for ceiling applications and is unobtrusive, which allows it to be concealed almost anywhere. Depending on the frequency range, the antenna has a peak gain range up to 3.6 dBi, and its full dimensions are 179 mm × 80 mm × 1.7 mm with a SMA female connector. Samples of the UltraSphere CAF 94895 are available now with MSRP of $34.95 for 500 pieces.
