LeCroy Corporation is offering several alternate radios for its UWBTracer protocol analyzer, allowing design engineers to swap radio modules on the analyzer thereby optimizing compatibility with early prototype devices. This system for WiMedia-based Ultra-Wideband protocol verification features a modular architecture that allows users to enhance the system in the future by adding new or upgraded hardware plug-ins. Leveraging this extensible design, LeCroy has announced successful qualification of a second radio component that will be offered as a plug-in option for the UWBTracer protocol analyzer system. Providing a WiMedia and Wireless USB solution using Alereon’s 480Mbps AL4000 radio platform in its UWBTracer system, users have a flexible platform to overcome subtle RF compatibility issues that can crop up in early prototype testing.
