DC/DC Converters for Wireless Power Amplifiers

( 1 Jul 2006 )

Tyco Electronics Power Systems’ FHW500 and FHW700 Series of DC/DC converters provide 500 and 700W, respectively, of output power in a full size brick. The FHW series power modules are isolated DC/DC converters and operate over a wide input voltage range of 36 to 75V DC; and they provide a single, precisely regulated output of 28V DC. The FHW500 features a power density of 91 W/in3 and the FHW700 has a high power density of 127 W/in3. FHW500 provides full power at a case temperature of up to 100°C whereas FHW700 provides full power at a case temperature of 90°C. Tyco Electronics Power Systems.
