Berkeley Varitronics Systems’ Beetle 5 GHz Wi-Fi receiver is a handheld, wireless instrument designed specifically for installing and maintaining 802.11a Wi-Fi networks. The calibrated receiver measures a wide range of RF spectrum from 5.150 through 5.9 GHz (low, middle and upper U-NII band). Beetle measures and demodulates packets from any 802.11a OFDM access point providing stats like MAC, SSID, signal strength, PER (Packet error rate) as well as WEP encryption status.
