Solid State Power Amplifier

( 1 Jan 2006 )

Aethercomm’s SSPA 8.5-9.6-30 is an X-band, solid-state power amplifier that operates from 8.5 to 9.6 GHz. The P1dB at 25º C is 30 W typical; saturated output power is 40 W typical at 25º C; typical small signal gain is 44 dB. Noise figure is 4 dB typical at 25º C; input VSWR is 2.0:1 maximum; and output VSWR is 2.0:1 maximum. This unit is equipped with the company’s proprietary DC switching circuitry that enables and disables the DC/DC circuitry in 1000 nS maximum. Standard features include reverse polarity protection, output short and open circuit protection, and an integrated DC/DC converter with over/under voltage protection.
