Huawei has announced that China Mobile and Huawei successfully showcased TD-LTE services on the field trial at the GSM Asia Congress in Hong Kong.
China Mobile demonstrated the multi-user access test based on the TD-LTE field trial. Different terminals were used to simultaneously demonstrate the services based on TDLTE technology, such as VOD and high-speed FTP download. The results of the test, which reflected the high-speed data rate and low latency of TD-LTE, impressed visitors at the event.
“Based on the wealth of potential value of TDD spectrum resources, Huawei believes that LTE TDD is as significant as LTE FDD,” said Wan Biao, President of Huawei Wireless Product Line. “Thus, Huawei released the industry's first LTE FDD and TD-LTE integrated solution in 2009, which greatly accelerates the commercialization of LTE.”
Huawei has been appointed to deploy the world’s first LTE network for TeliaSonera and Europe’s largest LTE network for Telenor. More than 20 LTE/SAE trials have been deployed by Huawei for global operators.
