Numonyx Looks to Grow in Asia by Expanding its Distributor Network

Numonyx BV names its network of authorized distributors in Asia – EDOM Technology, Synnex Technology , World Peace Industrial Group (WPI), WT Microelectronics, Dragon Technology and Tomen Electronics – to supply, deliver and support Numonyx products. The strong distribution deployment is part of Numonyx overall plan to extend the availability of its products and technologies to Asia’s growing embedded and wireless markets especially in the digital consumer, communications and handheld segments.
Asia is a key market for Numonyx not only for its size but also for its potential for growth. China and Taiwan represent the fastest growing and most dynamic markets for Numonyx.
According to iSuppli and Web Feet, the global embedded non-volatile memory market in 2008 reached $5.8 billion, half of which came from Asia. Similarly, the Asia Pacific Wireless market represents ~37 percent of the total wireless handset unit TAM in 2008 according to Gartner.

Numonyx plans to work closely with its distributors on a channel marketing program including training and initiatives designed to deliver the right combinations of NOR, NAND, RAM and possibly future the PCM technologies to meet the ever-increasing demand for innovative memory, software, packaging and stacking solutions.
The distribution network spread out over 25 cities in Asia will enable Numonyx to provide localized product, technical support and supply chain management bringing greater efficiency and competitiveness to its customers.
