Ruckus Wireless Appoints Seamus Hennessy as Chief Financial Officer

(Business News & Technology News, 8 Jun 2009)

Ruckus Wireless announced that Seamus (Sha-mus) Hennessy has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer.

Hennessy brings significant executive leadership and more than 12 years of financial and industry experience with technology-based companies. Hennessy joins Ruckus Wireless from Aerohive Networks, Inc., where he was the Chief Financial Officer. He also held a number of financial management roles at companies such as Bubble Motion and NetScaler, guiding these companies through major growth periods.

Hennessy will have a strategic role in helping guide the fast growth of Ruckus Wireless as it moves toward profitability and aggressively expands into international markets.

“Seamus not only brings deep industry knowledge but also demonstrable success in helping network infrastructure companies move their businesses to the next level,“ said Selina Lo, president and CEO of Ruckus Wireless. “His appointment as CFO comes at a very exciting time as we experience increased demand everywhere for affordable and reliable wireless systems that address a myriad of multimedia applications. Seamus will play a key role in our careful and calculated expansion into these areas and markets.”

One of the most diversified, pure-play wireless companies today, Ruckus Wireless manufactures and markets “Smart” Wi-Fi systems to telecom providers and enterprises globally. Its products are used for a wide-range of applications such as wireless distribution of carrier HD IPTV services within subscriber homes, indoor enterprise wireless LAN services, outdoor wireless broadband access and next generation multimedia hotspots services.
