CWNP (Certified Wireless Network Professional) is growing its presence in China. CWNP, the industry’s only vendor-neutral Wi-Fi certification program, announced the addition of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications as an Authorized Academic Learning Partner. The University, based in the JiangSu Province, will provide classroom instruction for individuals preparing for the CWTS, CWNA and CWSP wireless certification exams.
“We are pleased to partner with CWNP. Their course materials and certification programs are unmatched in the industry, and providing a vendor neutral curriculum fits well with our plans to create a wireless technology institute within the University,” said Yang Zhen, President of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
Last fall, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications deployed a campus-wide WLAN provided by Motorola, enabling multimedia Internet-based teaching, automatic academic office management, Internet access and long-distance teaching. The all-wireless enterprise delivers campus-wide coverage, both indoor and outdoor, spanning more than 4.5 million square feet and supporting 15,000 users. “Broadband is predicted to be an economic driver in many countries, the US and China included. Nanjing University has been at the forefront in adoption of Wi-Fi, and we are excited to partner with them as they take the next step in wireless education,” said Cary Chandler, President of CWNP.
